The unexplored Orinoquia Region of Colombia is located between the high Andes and tropical rainforest in the most eastern point in the country. There are several contrasting ecosystems that make up this region such as lowland forests, mountains, and river plains of the Orinoco River. These different habitats are home to over 800 bird species. These ecosystems and animals must adapt to the changing wet and dry seasons in the region.
