White sandy beaches, a deep-blue sea, mangroves, dry forest, the unique Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, mountains with permanent glaciers, and the biggest wetland system in Colombia (Ciénaga Grande)… are just some of the characteristics of the Colombian northernmost region.
